A native Texan, John has always loved wide open space. Space to work, to worship, to gather, to reflect, to read, and to write.
At 23, he left this wide open space and everything familiar, embarking on a yearlong journey as a volunteer English teacher in Poland and Norway. It was the most challenging, yet rewarding experience of his life. In short, it shaped who he is today: a lifelong learner, story-based communicator, and endless achiever.
John is now a graduate student in the Global Strategic Communications executive master’s program at Georgetown University where he engages with a dynamic group of internationally focused business communicators.
Still, he has learned some of life’s most meaningful lessons through years spent with those whose communication differs from his own. Animals have taught John the importance of unconditional love and that life should never be taken too seriously.
His bachelor years abruptly and beautifully ended when God introduced John to Madison—the woman he prayed for, the one whom his soul loves.
Their relationship essentially began with pen and paper, as John has always been enamored with exploring the world around and within him through words. He writes to re-live nostalgia, share observations, express emotions, develop plans, and humor others.
